LUNCH

Went to taka again (Pls dun envy me, I am dying to get out of here) ...dunno what to eat AGAIN!! It seems to me the food in the middle of orcahrd road has become a serious problem for me...

well...chin chai jiak lah...

so i ordered a veg minced meat mushroom noodles with extra "fish"

I was wondering why was it called Mock Fish? It is just Yam coated with flour?
Not even taste close to a fish

DINNER

Actually was suppose to eat the prawn mee near the Jackson Market....but...damned! Evil or Very Mad I overslept on the bus Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I have been eating at that prawn mee since 1995, and it is still as good.

So got to make do with the prawn mee at the nearby coffee shop...well..actually not that bad also lah

Prawn Mee Kia Dry.

What is prawn mee without pork lard Twisted Evil

I got to say, the soup taste really good. I think for Hookien Prawn Mee Soup/Dry, the critical factor is the soup and its chilli. The soup must be brewed out of prawn heads with its cream (Hae Ko). The prawn heads must be first stir-fried with garlic and spices, before adding to the water, with pig bones and rock sugar and other ingredients.

SUPPER

Wishful thinking!! NO WAY! I already have been very sinful (幸福? Mr. Green) in eating all those food for the day, you still expecting supper? You gotta be kidding...

I was just wondering would you want me to list down the address(es) of the eatery where I had all my food?

Let me know.

ate Fried Prawn mee...

(A reference photo from earlier post)

...and tau pao Rojak back home to share with my wife

Rojak with cuttlefish (in English, it is called Singapore Salad in Dried Shrimp Paste)
Hey, I didn't come up with this myself. I saw it somewhere before

I will usually request the you-tiao and tau pok to be toasted until crispy. So when i reached home, they are still as crispy, and not soggy...

Lai lai, jiak...mai keh ki...

The not-so watery Satay Bee Hoon

29.07.2006

BREAKFAST.

I have decided....not to eat Tuna salad Sandwich again Evil or Very Mad , at least for today...

and i ended up buying the fried been hoon from the nearby coffeeshop and a bottle of soya milk...to eat in office Confused

Part of a typical Singaporean Breakfast, beside breads and sandwich

Fried bee hoon mee with fish fillet and ngor hiang

Lunch...

Wife and Kor kor came to orchard road to meet me...

After much shopping around...we then realised it was near Kor Kor's nap time...so we hurried tau poa my lunch and rushed home...

I still cant get over the fact that they ate without me... Crying or Very sad

My "tau-pao" lunch - Thai Balachan Fried Rice

One of my favourite food

* * *

DINNER / SUPPER

Tau pao Satay Mee (not bee hoon) since i was talking to ah puppy abt it in the morning...but realised when tau pao home...the effect on camera....i think i shall reserve the comments to myself...

It made me wonder again...Why takeaway food usually don't look as good as they were eat-ins? Why? Confused

Satay Mee (instead of Bee Hoon)

See, the ingredient...so rich...tis really value for $$$

One more thing : the gravy is not the watery type that you will get in any other satay bee hoon stall

you want some?
